Working with our investment specialists, I facilitate international trade, investment, and business-attraction linkages for Auckland. Familiar with local markets, particularly the NZ Inc. landscape of government organisations, I collaborate with our partners, offshore companies, foreign economic-development agencies, consulates, civic bodies and industry organisations. My focus markets are the US, Japan and parts of Asia. 

I know how public-sector agencies operate offshore, I understand their drivers and political contexts, and I also know the key drivers for the private sector. With my strong management and communication skills, I can connect you with the right opportunities, skills and partners, leading to productive relationships and positive outcomes for you and for Auckland.

I have more than 10 years’ experience in international relations and in trade and economic development for New Zealand organisations and agencies. Before joining Auckland Unlimited, I provided business development and market entry advice to ed-tech companies and a regional educational tourism initiative in Finland. I have advised on strategies to enhance export offerings in the Japanese and Chinese markets. I also represented Education New Zealand in Japan, re-establishing the government agency’s presence and establishing key projects. I hold a master’s degree in international relations and am fluent in Japanese.
